What is your favorite picture on your phone of your family or a friend?

Is it one where the person posed for the perfect picture? They checked their hair, turned their body just right, and made sure they had the perfect smile. Is it the one where they looked like a model?

I’m guessing your favorite picture was probably unplanned, at a moment when all the pretense was gone. You happened to catch someone unexpectedly, in an honest moment, with a completely natural look.

Too often, we want our lives to look a certain way. We worry about appearances and what other people think.

The strange thing is, most of us don’t want that from other people. We want people to be real with us. Yet we live as if everyone expects us to have it all together.

Being real will always be better than being fake, in pictures and in life.
